New York City’s Quaint Neighbor

It’s the perks of eating at some of the best restaurants in the world, seeing Hamilton live on Broadway or catching a game or concert at Madison Square Garden – but skipping the high price tag it takes to live in NYC.

Our quaint town is only 12 miles away from Manhattan with easy access to major highways like Route 46, I-80 and I-95 as well as other public transportation options. Your Friday and Saturday nights can be full of action, art, and culture while you enjoy slow and easy Sunday mornings just outside the city.

A Rich History in Aviation

Teterboro is home to the oldest operating airport in the New York City area. The first flight from the present airport site was made in 1919, and in 1926, Colonial Air Transport at Teterboro was the first private company to deliver mail by air. Aviation icons Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart often flew in and out of Teterboro, with Earhart preparing for her first trans-Atlantic trip in Teterboro.

Surrounding Towns

Teterboro has a small residential population, and some might find the airport noise a drawback. Not to worry – nearby towns of Hasbrouck Heights, Hackensack, or Rutherford in Bergen County have the close proximity to Manhattan and the charming qualities homeowners and renters find attractive.

Hasbrouck Heights
