Kicking Off Summer with a Crawfish Boil and Smoked Alligator!
At Airshare, we believe great teams are built through shared experiences just as much as hard work. We kicked off summer with a Louisiana-style crawfish boil and a whole smoked alligator, bringing teammates together for an unforgettable afternoon of food, fun, and connection.
A special thank you goes to Zach Wood, Sales Associate, who brought authentic Louisiana flavor to Kansas City and took the lead on preparing the meal from start to finish. With support from several members of the Charter and Sales Team, Zach handled the prep and cooking, creating a spread that quickly became the highlight of the day.
The crawfish, shipped fresh directly from Louisiana, served as the centerpiece of the boil. Alongside it were potatoes, corn, and sausage, all cooked together and packed with flavor from garlic, onions, lemons, and Cajun seasoning. The combination delivered the kind of authentic Louisiana experience many on the team had never tried before.
Then there was the alligator, Zach prepared the alligator in advance by marinating it in a brine before slowly smoking it until tender. For many team members, it was their first time trying alligator, and many enjoyed it. Those who gave it a try described the taste as similar to smoked chicken or even pulled pork, making it a fun opportunity to step outside of the usual barbecue lineup and try something new.
Of course, no gathering like this would be complete without the extras. Thank you to everyone who contributed an assortment of sides, snacks, and desserts that helped round out the meal and made the spread even better.
Events like this are more than just a fun way to end the workday. They reflect what makes Airshare’s culture special. Celebrating together is one of our Core Values, and this event was a great example of that in action. At Airshare, our values show up in how we actively collaborate, support one another, and create space to connect as a team.
We are grateful for moments like these that bring people together, strengthen our culture, and remind us why we enjoy what we do. It is these shared experiences that continue to shape who we are and how we work, and we look forward to many more opportunities to live out our values together.
